Me and my sons love to fish, but stowing the fishing rods has always been an issue.  If they are in the back of the truck, they get beat to pieces, but if they are inside the cab, they bend and are in the way.

I recently lost my golf cart to a flood, but a friend reminded me of how much fun it was to drive around the neighborhood with one was.  I showed him a design of a fishing rod holder I made for my truck (still working on the design) and his first thought was one for his golf cart.

After 5-6 design iterations, I finally came up with one that I don’t know how to improve.  This is design iteration 4

After looking at what fishing rod holders were available on, none of them looked practical or affordable.  

The design has to incorporate the following:

• Affordable
• Simple to install
• Hold multiple rods
• Not damage the golf cart
• Not corrode in a saltwater environment
